<p>A gas compressor (10) includes a piston assembly (30, 32) that reciprocates in a bore (14) to draw fluid to be compressed into the bore (14) during movemen t of the piston unit (30, 32) in one direction and to compress the fluid durin g movement of the piston unit (30, 32) in the other direction.
