PURPOSE: A counterfeit note detection sensor using electrostatic capacitance and an apparatus for counting a note and detecting a counterfeit note using the same are provided to identify the counterfeit note by using the total electrostatic capacitance of the note. CONSTITUTION: A counterfeit note detection sensor using electrostatic capacitance includes a sensing panel(1), a sensing side(2), a sensing IC(3), a constant voltage IC(4), an amplification IC(5), and an output IC(6). The note passes through an upper side of the sensing panel(1). The sensing side(2) is formed on a center part of the sensing panel(1). The sensing IC(3) is used for sensing the varied amount of the current according to the electrostatic capacitance of the note. The constant voltage IC(4) is used for transmitting the varied amount of the current to the amplification IC(5). The amplification IC(5) is used for amplifying the current of the constant voltage IC(4). The output IC(6) is used for outputting the output of the amplification IC(5) as the analog information or the digital information.
