Modular expandable PC comprises modules with dimensions comparable to those of an external five and a quarter inch disk drive. The modules can be connected together in cable-free manner via plug and sockets arranged in the housings so that they can be stacked together. The internal interfaces between the housings are based on standard interfaces, e.g. IDE or AGP. The interfaces between the modules are standard, e.g. USB.
