PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for bending a metal sheet are provided to bend a steel sheet perpendicularly so that a right angle of the steel sheet is maintained even after forming and prevent damage of the steel sheet due to severe deformation of a bent part of the steel sheet. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a driving source; an upper base(100) vertically moved integrally along with the driving source; a roller punch(200) which is vertically moved integrally along with the upper base(100) and translationally moved horizontally in a certain section at the same time, and forms the metal sheet(500) by applying an outer force to the metal sheet(500) so that plastic deformation range is widened; a pushing unit closely adhered to the outer side of the roller punch(200) to apply uniformly distributed force to the roller punch(200) horizontally; and a die(400) adhered to a lower base so that angle of a cut part is formed in an angle to be worked, wherein the pushing unit comprises fence(330), springs(340), subsidiary roller(300) and pushing plate(310).
