The invention concerns a rubber composition based on at least (i) an elastomer, (ii) a reinforcing filler and (iii) as anti-reversion agent, a thiouronium salt or a thiouronium salt analogue of the following formula (I): A - S - Y - S - A, wherein: A represents a group (II) or (III) associated respectively to a HX molecule X<-> ion, X representing a halogen atom and Z representing S - R5 or (IV), and wherein the radicals R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 represent a hydrogen atom or a linear or branched monovalent hydrocarbon group selected among the alkyl, alkenyl, cylcoalkyl, aryl, alralkyl with the alkyl groups; or R2 and R3 or R3 and R5 form with the nitrogen atoms whereto they are bound an unsaturated heterocycle having 3 to 5 carbon atoms, substituted or not by one or several alkyl radicals, said heterocycle being conjugated or not with a benzene ring, and R1 and R4 represent hydrogen, alkyl, alkenyl; Y represents a linear or branched divalent hydrocarbon group interrupted or not by O or N, selected among the alkylene, cycloalkylene, arylene, aralkylene radicals. The thiouronium salt incorporated in the vulcanisable rubber composition enables the level of reversion of the vulcanized product to be substantially reduced.
