It is necessary to remove floating matter which are on the surface of the water in river, lake or sea. The removing device for removing the floating matter, for example, spilled oil on the surface of water consists essentially of a stator, a rotator rotatably supported on the stator, a screw mean rotatably supported on the rotator, a hopper, a conveying mean, a drive motor for the rotator, a beveled gear unit for the screw mean. The floating matter is according to the invention continuously conveyed into a hopper by means of a screw mean sweeping over the surface of the water, from which hopper the conveyed floating matter is discontinuously pumped off by pumping mean of the conveying mean. |
