A device and method comprising means for generating and/or maintaining an oscillating airflow is described and suggested for use in the ventilation of the upper airways of a human, in particular to increase the gas exchange in remote and/or difficulty accessible parts thereof, such as the paranasal sinuses. The invention also encompasses a device and method for delivering a substance to the upper airways or parts thereof in the presence of an oscillating airflow.
