PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for compensating color for a field sequential color liquid crystal display are provided to prevent changes in color by forming a color compensating circuit between a video card and a timing controller for compensating a slow liquid crystal response time. CONSTITUTION: A bit data divider divides inputted N bit audio data into upper n bit data and lower N-n bit data. A random access memory(RAM)(38) holds the upper n bit data for one frame. A read-only memory(ROM)(40) compares the upper n bit data with the upper n bit data of a previous frame held for one frame to output the modulated upper n bit data which are preliminarily set and stored. A bit data combiner combines the modulated upper n bit data with the lower N-n bit data. |
