RATE MATCHING METHOD IN UMTS

PURPOSE: A rate matching method in a UMTS(Universal Mobile Telecommunication System) is provided to reduce a rate matching parameter calculation time required in a UE(User Equipment) when performing a rate matching in the UMTS. CONSTITUTION: A node B(100) writes a rate matching parameter table(500). The node B(100) transmits the written rate matching parameter table together with channel setup information to a UE(110)(502). The UE(110) performs the rate matching of each transport channel by the received rate matching parameter table(504). The UE(110) reduces a time required in rate matching parameter calculation by performing the rate matching by the rate matching parameter table received from the node B(100).
