In a colorant (A) for keratin fibers, obtained by mixing a color carrier composition (A1) with a formulation (A2) just before use, (A1) contains optionally etherified 1,4-diacyloxy-2-hydroxy-naphthalene and/or 1,2,4-triacyloxynaphthalene compound(s) (I) and (A2) contains hydrolase(s) and/or base(s).
