A resilient plastics closure for a bottle comprises a stopper with an external annular bead 7 and a curving downward taper, and a sleeve 9 which is secured to the stopper by means of a rim 11 and an annular collar 12. The entire closure is pushed on to a bottle neck and ribs 13 engage beneath a projection on the neck. To remove the closure, a guarantee band 14 is first torn off, and then the stopper may be released by pushing the side of its head with a thumb, Fig. 3 (not shown). A transparent capsule, covering a display plate, may be inserted into a groove in the stopper head, Fig. 5 (not shown).</p> |
