Method for transferring data in a communications system, especially for transfer of text or graphical data with or without sound. The data is composed of individual elements that are coded to the same or different standards. According to the method, the data is subjected to a data type and or format conversion according to the profile of the receiver. A corresponding link (LK) is generated with the link type and or format conversion updated to ensure the link is maintained between different data elements. Independent claims are also included for; (1) corresponding terminal device, especially a WAP enabled mobile phone configured according to GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS or mixed formats, (2) a computer program product, and (3) a communications system. |
