PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe secondary battery with solid polymer electrolyte, with which the battery function can be stopped at the melting point of polyolefin in the case of overcharge, overdischarge, or misuse by installing a micro-porous film of polyolefin in a solid polymer electrolyte layer. SOLUTION: A solid polymer electrolyte secondary battery concerned includes a positive electrode 2 retaining a non-aqueous electrolytic solution, a negative electrode 4 containing a non-aqueous electrolytic solution and carbonaceous material occluding and releasing lithium ions, and a solid polymer electrolyte layer 5 interposed between the positive and negative electrodes 2, 4 and containing non-aqueous electrolytic solution and polymer retaining it, wherein the electrolyte layer 5 is provided internally with a micro-porous film 6 of polyolefin in such a way as confronting the surface of the layer 5. |
