A one piece hanging file made from a single strip of flexible plastic film o r fabric. Small loops of the strip are heat-welded at intervals creating channels or hems for removable hangers. Larger loops between the channels become the file pockets. If made of transparent plastic , the hangers also serves as a built-in label holders. The looped-bottom file pocket design allows for th e filed objects to rise smoothly out of the file pocket when either adjacent hanger is lifted. A hol e or aperture may be added to the looped bottom to allow disk media to be thereby stabilized so as to not accidentally roll sideways out of the pocket when the file and contents are moved or transported. Becau se of it's low cost, substantially smaller-sized hanging files can be used for business cards, compact disks, cassettes, photographs, brochures, and other small articles or media. These smaller-siz ed hanging files may hang from parallel rails in a purpose-built tray or from the edges of their packaging box, or they may hang crosswise in an existing hanging file folder. Because adjacent files share a common hanger, the number of hangers needed is nearly halved compared to existing hanging file folders . This, in turn, reduces the total thickness and bulk.
