FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves introducing screw via the fracture area. An incision is produced which length one half shorter than cover length. The cover is caught with holder. The cover is concurrently connected to the screw and oriented along the femur axis. The cover is fixed with screws via pierces above holes in the cover. The screw introduced via the fracture area is fastened with the cover by means of screw creating compression conditions in the fractured zone. The holder is removed. The screws are screwed completely. A holder composed of handle of rectangular cross-section is applied in particular cases. One end of the handle widens and the other one has lips set in slits at an angle of 135 deg. the lips are attached to the handle with adjustment screw used for fitting distance between the lips.
