FIELD: foundry; particularly, casting of rolling cutters hard-faced with members. SUBSTANCE: preliminarily members for hard-facing are fixed in holes of foam polystyrene pattern. Pattern is placed in shell of mold and filled with heat-resistant concrete which forms surface of casting mold after solidification. Pattern is burnt out. Plates are firmly fixed by concrete. Plates are coated with layer of heat-resistant coating. Liquid currentconducting refining slag is poured into cavity of mold. With usage of consumable electrode steel is poured into mold by means of electric slag casting method. Melt moving through slag in the form of flow of drops is refined. EFFECT: provision for direct steel crystallization and reliable diffusion connection of plates with steel. 2 cl, 4 dwg
