ROTOR-TYPE WATER-JET PROPELLER

摘要

FIELD: shipbuilding; propellers for surface and submarine vessels; thrusters. SUBSTANCE: proposed water-jet propeller includes water passage made in form of flat slot, suction and discharge cavities, two transversal symmetric cylindrical recesses with rotors mounted in each of them. Rotors revolving around their axes are provided with two different symmetrical teeth whose profiles are formed by sections of cylindrical curves. Separation of suction and discharge cavities of water passage is ensured by distance between axes of rotation of rotors and tooth profiles. Width at water passage outlet is equal to 0.2-0.4 of distance between axes of rotation of rotors. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of propeller. 2 dwg
