Counting leucocytes, useful e.g. for quality control of plasma products, by permeabilization, labeling, retention on filter and determining number of retained cells

Method for counting leucocytes in a biological fluid by incubating the sample with an agent (I) that renders cell membranes permeable, incubation with a leucocyte marker (II), filtering through a non-autofluorescent membrane to retain any labeled leucocytes and analysis of the membrane to determine the number of labeled cells.
