摘要 The invention relates to configuration of resource distribution networks, such as electrical energy supply networks, where the resources are presumed to enter via at least one feeding point and exit at a plurality of client points. Geographical coordinate data for each feeding point and a respective amount of resources fed into the network are entered via a supply node list (1310). Correspondingly, geographical coordinate data for each client point and a respective estimated average amount of resources exiting at the client point is entered in the form of a user node list (1320). The node lists are processed such that a network configuration is generated where each client point is connected to a particular feeding point, either directly or via at least one other client point. The processing involves: a sectioning step (1340) through which a station area is formed around each feeding point, such that a specific client point falls within the station area whose associated feeding point is closest to the client point; a groupingstep (1350) through which at least one sub-network is formed within each station area according to a network segmenting algorithm; a clustering step (1370) through which the client points in each station area are associated with each other, such that two or more client points together form at least one client cluster within the sub network to which they belong; and connection steps (1370 and 1380) through which the client points within each client cluster are connected to a specific network station respective the network station in turn are connected to the feeding point(s). Finally, a description of the generated network configuration is delivered (1390).
