A composition with controlled permeability to hydrocarbons comprising a mixture of polymer material and mineral fillers chosen to adsorb and trap a quantity of hydrocarbons passing through the polymer so as to reduce its permeability. An Independent claim is included for a structure containing hydrocarbons which has a monolayer wall of the composition
