<p>The fitness trainer is for production of esp. constant power/distance characteristics. It has a pump unit, to lift e.g. water or a particle material, and bypass, formed by a downpipe (17), for the water to return. A valve prevents a return force acting on the piston (12). The return height of the bypass is varied by e.g. pivoting the downpipe between horizontal and vertical positions, to vary the power acting on the piston. The pump unit is a piston pump with tank (10), cylinder (11), and piston. An additional downpipe (16) is filled with water by e.g. an impeller wheel, with the pipe level indicating the number of strokes carried out.</p> |
