DEVICE FOR TRANSLATING ENGLISH-KOREAN HAVING CLAUSE UNIT SEPARATOR AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: A device for translating English-Korean having a clause unit divider and an English translating method thereof are provided to improve translation success by dividing a long English sentence into simple sentences and making a sentence structure analyzer concentrate on an analysis for the simple sentences. CONSTITUTION: An English morpheme analyzer(140) generates/outputs a morpheme string combining each word forming the English sentence and a part of speech by receiving the English sentence. A clause unit divider(150) generates/outputs the information to divide the long sentence into the simple sentence of a clause unit and the information for a sentence structure by receiving the morpheme string. A sentence structure analyzer(160) confirms that the information for the morpheme string divided into each clause unit and the sentence structure is fit to an English sentence structure, and generates a parsing tree in case of fitness. A meaning analyzer(170) gives a meaning matched with a branched form and the contents by analyzing each node of the parsing tree.
