The powder injector for the forming and feeding of a powder and air mixture has a housing (11) with a bore (13) in which are fitted a drive nozzle (17) and collecting nozzle (19) with a venturi tube (21). The housing to accommodate the operating and collecting nozzles is formed from one piece of bar material in which the bore extends co-axially to the bar axis or parallel to it at a distance from it. The bar material may have a circular, four-sided or hexagonal cross section.
