Organic residue removal in effluent air from washing powder manufacture comprises cooling to below dew point and interception and recovery of aerosol by water droplets

A process filters large quantities of industrial effluent air containing organic residues. In the process the air is first cooled to below the dew point, forming aerosol particles. The particles are combined with a temperature-controlled water spray and selected additives to form droplets which are collected. Residual aerosol droplets in effluent air are separated. An Independent claim is also included for a vortex-driven gas washing assembly.
