PURPOSE: Provided is a water treatment method using a submerged biological aerated filter, thereby continuously purifying polluted water without using a pump. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of dipping a bioreactor(1) with contact filter media(2) therein in polluted water and aerating the polluted water to circulate water to the bioreactor(1), wherein the media(2) is made of natural or artificial ceramics, sand, gravel, activated carbon, plastics, foamed plastic, fibrous structure, shell, or used-tire.
