The invention relates to a herbicide-safener combination, which comprises: ( A) one or more herbicidal auxin type of aromatic carboxylic acids or salts thereof, for example dicamba, chloramben or 2,3,6-trichlorobenzoic acid (2,3 ,6- ~TBA), and (B) one or more safeners. The invention is also directed to the respective method for protecting crops, the method for weed control using th e combination and the use of compounds (B) for safening compounds (A).
