<p>A method and system of providing control by a client (110) of a Web-cast from a telephone (140), the method comprising: receiving from the client (110) Web-cast configuration data at a web server (130), updating Web-cast parameters in accordance with the Web-cast configuration data and storing the Web-cast parameters in a database (132): receiving initiation instructions at the telephony server (105 & 152) for the Web-cast from the client (110) via the telephone (140) and initiating the Web-cast in accordance with the Web-cast parameters stored in the database (132), receiving content data at the telephony server (150 & 152) from the telephone (140), formatting the content data at the telephony server (150 & 152), storing the content data at a file storage server (160) and providing content pull instructions to an encoder server (170); receiving the content pull instructions at the encoder server (170), pulling the content from the file storage server (160) based upon the content pull instructions and encoding the content into streaming content at the encoder server (170); and receiving the streaming content at a media server (180 & 181)and streaming content to an end user computer (190).</p> |
