The invention relates to a throttle valve for installing in an internal combustion engine. Said throttle valve (1) comprises a first and a second bearing point (6, 7) with substantially planar surface regions (25, 26) that extend on both sides of the axis of symmetry (13) of the points. Each of said regions is delimited by an edge (3). The throttle valve (1) can be adjusted about its axis of symmetry (13) by means of an adjusting drive. The planar surface regions (25, 26) are interconnected by a convex moulding (8, 9, 28) on the valve surface of the throttle valve (1), running parallel to the axis of symmetry (13). |
