<p>An electric power steering device, comprising a steering shaft having an input shaft connected to a steering wheel, an output shaft connected to a steering gear device, and a torsion bar for transmitting a torque from the input shaft to the output shaft and rotatably supported on a steering column on the front and rear sides of a vehicle, a torque detection coil disposed on the outer peripheral side of the steering shaft, and a worm wheel meshed with a worm rotatingly driven by a motor driven according to the detected torque and fixed to the output shaft in rotating direction, wherein the steering shaft is rotatably supported forward of the vehicle through bearings installed between the worm wheel and a column side member.</p> |
