A vacuum generator that is easy to produce and easy to use with reduced useless vacuum absorption time. A vacuum generator (10) has an air supply port (18) to which air is supplied externally, a swing section (12) in which a nozzle (17) into which air supplied from the air supply port (18) is blown is provided, four diffusers (20A-20D) that has air blow-in ports arranged on a circle around the swing center of the swing section (12) and into which air released from the nozzle (17) is blown, and vacuum absorption ports (14A-14D) communicating with the diffusers (20A-20D), respectively. When the swing section (12) is rotated and the nozzle section (17) is aligned with the axis of any one of the diffusers, air is blown into this diffuser and vacuum absorption force is generated in a vacuum absorption port communicating with this diffuser.
