A battery pack (1) having a plurality of cells (11) received side by side in a case (2) having a cooling air passage (3) defined therein, wherein the case (2) is internally formed with the cooling air passage (3) and a gas discharge passage (4) for discharging the gas released from the cells (11) on the occurrence of abnormalities in the cells (11), these passages being isolatedly formed.
