IC CHIP, CARD AND MOBILE TERMINAL CONNECTED TO THE SAME

An IC chip having both of the non-contact type function and the contact type function is provided. Furthermore, a card and a mobile terminal device for making the chip preferably function as the non-contact type or the contact-type IC card are provided. The IC chip includes a CPU, a contact interface connected to the CPU for enabling data communication between the CPU and outside, and non-contact interface connected to the CPU for enabling radio data communication between the CPU and outside. Moreover, the card electrically connectable to the IC chip non-contact interface has an antenna. When the antenna is connected to the IC chip non-contact interface, radio data communication is enabled between the IC chip and outside. Furthermore, the mobile terminal device electrically connectable to the IC chip contact interface has a CPU. When the CPU is connected to the IC chip contact interface for data communication, the IC chip can function as the contact type IC chip.
