PURPOSE: A device and a method for selling Internet lotto using an optical medium are provided to sell more disk by recording a code to each recording medium, and giving a gift to a user drawn from the codes after picking up and transmitting the code when the information stored in the recording medium is played. CONSTITUTION: The recording medium(200) stores video information and includes or attaches the code on a constant region. A servo(125) controls a position of a pickup part(140) to pick up the code if the recording medium is loaded to a player(100). A code detector(150) detects and outputs the data corresponding to the code picked up from the recording medium. A system controller(120) transmits the code to a server through the Internet by automatically connecting an output line of the player to the Internet(300) if the code is detected from the code detector. A server(400) and a terminal(500) draw the code to receive the gift from many codes after storing the transmitted code.
