A combination lock has an inner mechanism (1), a reset mechanism (2) and a locking mechanism. The lock operation is controlled by a selection of real controls (14) which are arranged in a pattern on the inner mechanism, along with false controls (15). The user is able to open and close the lock using the code, with the added security of being able to operate the reset mechanism to change the code or to retain the old code. The reset mechanism includes a guide rod (21), a stop rod (25) and a reset control (26). A sliding plate (22) moves under spring pressure to open the lock when the correct code sequence is entered via the code controls. |
