The invention relates to a switch hinge technique which enables bearing and locking functions to be provided alternately, as required, by the switch-actuated displacement of profiles (34) and sleeves (32; 36), by means of actuating drives. Said functions are provided along one side (of a rotational axis) or along two, three or all sides of the locking body (10) of a window or a door. The rotational or pivotal axis can be rotated, for example, from a left-opening position (optionally inwards) to a right-opening position (outwards) and vice versa. Hinge-switching elements arranged on the inner side of the room are covered and are screwed onto a frame part or a wing part. Preferably, said technique is applied to the total height or width of the locking body (10), switch hinges (20, 20', 20"; 60; 70) included. It is also applied to the selected strip side and the resulting lock side. The lock is used on the strip side as a pivot bearing (axis A) and assumes an opening and closing function on the lock side. The actuation is carried out by means of a linear actuating drive (40) and a rotational or pivotal drive (50), and can be controlled and automated in a multitude of ways. |
