The grill comprises a frame (2) which has open top and bottom sides and has a handle (1) attached to it. A grate (4) is rested loosely on top of supports (3) formed in the underside of the frame. A heat conducting part (7) with rods (6) is loosely supported on top of guides (5) fixed to the inside of the upper part of the frame. Lava stones (8) are located between the grate and heat conducting part. The grill is designed to be placed on top of a gas hob (9) of the type commonly found in restaurants or bars and the gas flame is used to heat the lava stones.
