<p>The hand held starter motor unit [1] has a housing in which there are a pair of electric motors [7,9] that are powered by a built in battery cell [10]. The motors are mechanically coupled through a gear chain [71,91,131] to an output spindle [17] and are operated in synchronism. One of the gears has a free wheel arrangement [111]. The unit drives the engine propeller by fitting an elastomer bush that is held against the propeller hub.</p> |
