The wind shield for a motor vehicle has an upper section (7) at head height behind the driver and front seat passenger and changes into a lower section (17) at the height of the belt line of the vehicle. The lower section consists of a moldable material and lies against the rear wall (18) of the backs (1,2) of the front seat. The lower section in its functional position covers the gap between the front seat backs and bears only on the part of the seat backs lying in the center of the vehicle.
