The display comprises a common substrate, especially a plastic film (2) or glass pane, having display elements (11) of a screen (14) with an electrical control unit (19), and control lines (25) for the display elements. The display elements and the control unit including the control lines are arranged next to each other on the substrate. The display elements are made from organic material or semiconductor material for light emission. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle mirror, especially an external mirror, with the above display.
