PURPOSE: An apparatus for automatically classifying and stacking food trays is provided to classify the food trays and dishes according to size and shape, and to stack the separated food trays and dishes with each other. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for automatically classifying and stacking food trays is composed of a classifying unit(K) for classifying the food trays and dishes from an automatic dish washer(a) according to size and shape and discharging the food trays and dishes to different rails, and a stacking unit(K1) for separating the food trays with the dishes and sensing the food trays and stacking the food trays and dishes in a vertical manner. The stacking unit stands the food trays and dishes up in a vertical manner with arranging the stacked food trays and dishes in a horizontal manner.
