PURPOSE: A mobile phone having an auxiliary power and a power supplying method therefor are provided to be powered off after performing location registration even when a user turns off the mobile phone by removing a battery, thereby preventing hardware from being damaged. CONSTITUTION: A battery(20) supplies main power to a hardware circuit(10). A low capacity capacitor(30) supplies power to the hardware circuit(10) for predetermined time when the battery(20) is artificially removed. The hardware circuit(10) includes a controller controlling all operations of a mobile phone. The capacitor(30) is charged when the battery(20) is charged by a charger without being separated from the mobile phone. If the battery(20) is changed into a new battery, the capacitor(30) is charged by the new battery.
