<p>To seal the joint between two overlapping or butting claddings, at structural surfaces, a sealing strip is used of a material which can be heat-welded and is transparent to laser beams. The strip is welded over the joint by a laser, from the outer side, through the sealing strip and into the surface cladding material. The surface cladding and the sealing strip are of thermoplastic materials, and a portable laser unit is used for manual welding.</p> |
