HARMONIC REDUCTION SYSTEM FOR DIODE RECTIFIER BY IMAGE CURRENT INJECTION

PURPOSE: A harmonic reduction system is provided to allow for a simplicity of configuration of inverter and obtain a pure sine wave, while reducing a power consumption. CONSTITUTION: A harmonic reduction system comprises a six-pulse diode rectifier, two single-phase half-wave inverter, two single-phase transformers(Tr1,Tr2), and a zigzag transformer for distribution of injected current. Inductor currents(iL1,iL2) are controlled by the two single-phase inverters, and injected to the rectifiers through the single-phase transformers. An injected current(ij) is distributed to each phase of input side through the zigzag transformer, to thereby improve the input current to a sine wave.
