PURPOSE: A method for making calcium carbonate micro-powders by a simple dry process is provided to reduce the energy consumption, and to obtain the micro-powder having a sharp particle size distribution and excellent whiteness. CONSTITUTION: The method for making calcium carbonate micro-powder comprises the steps of: washing a natural ore of calcium carbonate; crushing the ore to the average particle diameter of 50-100 mm by a crude crusher; further crushing the ore to be the average particle diameter of 20-40 mm by a crusher selected from a hammer mill. a rod mill and a cone crusher; further crushing the powder to be the average particle diameter of 10-30 micrometers by a Raymond mill equipped with a classifier; finely crushing the powders to the average particle diameter of about 1.0-10 micrometers through a ball mill; classifying the finely crushed calcium carbonate powders to be the average particle diameter less than 1 micrometer through the classifier. |
