PROCESS FOR PRODUCING PNEUMATIC TIRE

A process for producing a belted tire having at least two belt layers constituted of a steel cord and a coating rubber therefor by shaping a rubber member of given sectional configuration through spirally winding of a strip of unvulcanized rubber composition extruded from an extruder onto a revolving support, wherein a rubber composition comprising a rubber component loaded with a compound of 120 to 220ºC melting point and/or a resin of 90 to 150ºC softening point in which the total amount of compound and resin added is in the range of 0.5 to 25 parts by mass per 100 parts by mass of the rubber component is used in the coating rubber. This process ensures excellent extrudability of the unvulcanized composition and enables manufacturing tires of high durability.
