<p>The invention relates to an edging/gumming machine for non-circular metal covers that are intended for containers. The inventive machine (4) is characterised in that it operates continuously and in that it is disposed in a single assembly of prismatic construction with a body consisting of: an upper base comprising a large rotating plate (1), numerous work stations (5) which are positioned on said plate and which are equipped with diagonally-opposite flanging (6) and gumming (7) devices, one or more assemblies of feed (8) and delivery (9) devices, and actuation means which are common to the aforementioned stations (5) and which are disposed inside the machine (4). According to the invention, said machine can be used with any type of cover (2) or base profile, by adapting to the shape of same, in order to rotate said covers (2) in the work stations (5).</p> |
