PURPOSE: A method for automatically controlling air volume of an air-conditioning system is provided to keep desired air volume and heating or cooling a room even when differential pressure is generated. CONSTITUTION: A method includes the steps of: an air volume sensing step(S10) sensing current air volume; an air volume comparing step(S20) comparing the air volume sensed in the air volume sensing step with set objective air volume; an air volume decrease verifying step(S30) sensing whether the air volume sensed in the air volume sensing step keeps deviating from the objective air volume for more than fixed time if the air volume is determined to deviate from the objective air volume in the air volume comparing step; an air volume decrease limit step(S40) determining whether difference between the objective air volume and the current air volume is over set upper limit; a warning step(S50) warning that the difference between the objective air volume and the current air volume is over the set upper limit to allow a user to clan a filter; and an air volume compensating step(S60) comparing the dropping value sensed in the air volume decrease limit step with data to control output.
