PURPOSE: An inner liner rubber composition is provided, to improve the crack resistance and the air permeation resistance by employing a recycled butyl rubber. CONSTITUTION: The rubber composition comprises 100 parts by weight of a source rubber which is a halogenated butyl rubber or a mixture of 60-95 wt% of a halogenated butyl rubber and 5-40 wt% of a natural rubber; 10-40 parts by weight of a recycled butyl rubber; 40-70 parts by weight of carbon black; and 1-8 parts by weight of a phenol formaldehyde resin. Preferably the recycled butyl rubber comprises 52.5-60.5 wt% of a butyl rubber; 30-35 wt% of carbon black; 2.5-3.5 wt% of ash; and 7-9 wt% of an acetone extract. Preferably the carbon black has an iodine adsorption value of 25-45 and a DBP absorption value of 55-120. |
