A ventilating system for single and multi story buildings, especially car parks comprises a vertical shaft (1) within or on the building with openings to ventilator spaces on floors (2,2') and a blower (3) giving a vertical primary air flow (4). Secondary flows enter the floors (5) and are sucked into the vertical flow through the openings. An Independent claim is also included for a process using the above system.
