PURPOSE: A device for detecting a mobile IP movement is provided to make a mobile computer request an agent advertisement message when a wireless LAN cell is changed, without waiting for the agent advertisement message, thereby quickly performing a handoff operation of a mobile IP. CONSTITUTION: A wireless LAN interface card(20) decides whether a wireless LAN access point is changed. A mobility sensing module(21) writes a decided result in a corresponding pseudo device. A mobility sensing thread(22) senses whether wireless LAN cells move, through the written information. If the access point is changed, a mobility sensing thread manager(23) starts a sensing operation of the mobility sensing thread(22). A system call interface(24) interfaces the mobility sensing thread(22) with the mobility sensing module(21).
